Desilting
MYA Maritech excavated approximately 160 tonnes of silt and clay during the below desilting project. Desilting lakes and ponds is an essential part of keeping your water healthy, and in the case of this pond we increased the water depth by up to 5ft. This is great for fish and wildlife, especially in Winter months. We also tidied the pond bed, as well as enlarging the pond and rebuilding the dams at each end with new clay.
Pond Reinstatement
The below photos show a pond which we were first called out to clean, remove the overgrown reeds, install a new liner and reinstate. We also introduced marginal planting to help bring this pond to life and encourage wildlife. We at MYA Maritech have also completed a full service on the pond filter, pond pump and water feature pump to keep everything in top condition.
Fish Health
MYA Maritech are on hand should you become concerned about your fish (Koi, Carp, etc). We were called out to check over the below fish after the owner noticed some slight damage to the tail. We caught the fish, sedated her, treated the wound , before replacing her into the pond. This was only a minor wound, but left untreated it could have easily have led to a secondary bacterial or fungal infection.
Filter Installation
The photos below show a recent filter installation. We installed an Oase Biotec Premium 80000 Combi Drum Filter, Oase Classic 17500 LPH pump, and TMC 110W UV system on behalf of one of our commercial clients. MYA Maritech are able to install all major filtration systems and specialise in Koi pond filtration.
